There can be many reasons why you might need to find a new home for your animals. Doing so is not easy, especially with such challenging species as tortoises. They have very special needs and are widely misunderstood. We have been rehoming tortoises (and turtles) since the early 1980's. We try to find the best possible option for every single case. We do not charge fees, and we never - ever - engage in then sale of animals. Our sole objective is to find the best possible placements in the interests of welfare. Please note that this can take some time, as a) There are many animals in need of homes and b) The availability of suitably qualified new homes is always limited. We also insist on thoroughly vetting applicants and making sure that they really do have the necessary facilities and an adequate standard of specialist knowledge (in many cases these are long-term supporters with years of experience or people who have successfully completed one or more of our training programs).

Finding homes for aquatic turtles is especially difficult as sadly, the pet trade has imported massive quantities of them every year for decades. We strongly oppose this trade as it has created a welfare crisis. We can try, however....
